What To Do First to Make a Profit

The PF Women Team at our Annual Team Retreat  ~ 2018 Today on Seth Godin's blog, he said: It's tempting to decide to make a profit first, then invest in training, people, facilities, promotion, customer service and most of all, doing important work. In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're  not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. As anyone who follows our story knows, our ministry was in a ton of debt four years ago when I came on as director.  Since that time, we've gotten out of debt and turned a profit every year.  God has done amazing things through out team, for which we give Him the glory! It it's not broke, please fix it!!!

You know that old saying, "if it's not broke, don't fix it"?  Well, that's dumb. 

This is the kind of thinking that never moves anybody forward.  It just keeps people, relationships, systems, businesses, churches, homes and ministries right where they are.

We wouldn't have a lot of the amazing things in our world today unless somebody decided to fix what wasn't broken.

Only by trying to fix what's not broken do we advance.  But it takes brave people to go there.

The mentality of "If it's not broke, don't fix it" is about as dumb as this statement "this is how we have always done it!" I dislike both very much!

If I did not work so hard to help Marcus get fixed where would we be- He was broke and needed fixed. I love the brave statement - cause this took a whole lot of courage for both of us- and see where we are today since we are fixing the broken

Love this PD. It might not be broken but it also might not be even close to what it could be lol. Jesus died so we can THRIVE not just get by and be functional, heck with being functional I want to do much better than that lol.

Also on the everyday practical side I agree that improvement on anything probably will not happen unless we avoid this approach and look at ways on how we can make things better.

Sisterhood Rises Up To Change Lives Forever

God is in the business of preserving families. It is His heart. It's my heart too. And, I'll unabashedly say here that I believe it should be everyone's heart. Everyone likes good news and I've got some for you today. If you are in doubt that God still speaks today and that He uses people to accomplish His work, I pray this will speak to you. Last night I was sitting in service at Celebration Church where we are pastors, and my husband was preaching. His message was about what we want to be remembered for in life, and he made the statement that we can't change our past but we can change the future.  In that moment, God spoke to me.
