The PF Women Team at our Annual Team Retreat ~ 2018 Today on Seth Godin's blog, he said: It's tempting to decide to make a profit first, then invest in training, people, facilities, promotion, customer service and most of all, doing important work. In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. As anyone who follows our story knows, our ministry was in a ton of debt four years ago when I came on as director. Since that time, we've gotten out of debt and turned a profit every year. Last night in our Fusion service at Celebration I taught on the subject of Conditions to Answered Prayer. One of them is the ingredient of faith and the fact that God is never moved by need, only by faith. Needs are all around -- He doesn't have to look far at all to find a need, in fact they are pressing in all around. If you don't believe me on this, just look back in scripture at all the times God healed or supplied - it was in response to faith, not necessarily need.
Consider the woman with the issue of blood. Remember, the crowd was pressed in all around Him - an overwhelming amount of people in a sea of needs. Why did He notice the woman who pressed through? He noticed her because of her faith -- not her need. Luke 8:42-48 tells us about it and in verse 48 He says, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." It wasn't her need that made the difference, it was her faith.
God is pleased by faith, notices it and rewards it. You can take that to the bank, not because I said it but because He said it. (Hebrews 11:6)
