Today was our church day at the beach ~ picnic and water baptism, after morning worship. (Another benefit of living in paradise...) Susan was baptized today. (See picture at top.) After lunch we swam. We weren't there until sunset as we normally are because it thunderstormed after only about and hour or hour and half at most of swimming. BUMMER. But the time we did have was so blessed. It was beautiful!
The lifeguards made everyone get out when the lightning started. At that point most had to go home but Larry said, "let's go home and shower and change and go out to the movies with anybody who wants to go see Iron Man. So we did! Fun!
I'm still tired - longing for a weekend with some real downtime next Friday. "No emergencies" is my prayer...during my work week this week, this is seriously going to be a prayer focus for me. I need a true day off. I might even do a "PJ day!" Seriously, I'm overdue.
